AFRIMS is a bilateral U.S. Army-Royal Thai Army medical research institute fighting diligently to eradicate disease. The United States component of AFRIMS is the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research’s proven, expeditionary, medical response platform in Asia and Oceania. We are a critical force multiplier through development of solutions to infectious diseases capability gaps throughout the Indopacific Command area of responsibility with a 60 year legacy of extraordinary success. Our work over the decades, thanks to the hundreds of Thai, Cambodian, Nepalese, Filipino and American scientists and support staff who make up AFRIMS, have been responsible for some of the great advances in combatting disease and thanks to our efforts over the years, millions of lives have been saved.
