The Retrovirology Specimen Archiving Facility is able to store up to 3 million specimens in 24-hour monitored temperature-controlled freezers. The facility has employed both electrical freezers and automatic fed liquid nitrogen system ensuring that the specimens are stored in ideal conditions. It has been recognized as a national resource of Thai specimens, especially specimens collected from RV144 “Thai trial”.
