BANGKOK –
Col. Eli Lozano and Command Sgt. Maj. Donald Gross traveled to the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research-Armed Forces Research Institute of Medical Sciences to meet with unit members and engage with regional leaders Nov. 29-30. The tour marked the command team's first visit to Thailand since assuming command of WRAIR and an opportunity to further strengthen relations with regional allies. The leaders took part in strategic engagements with the U.S. Ambassador, Royal Thai Army Director General, RTA Medical Department Surgeon General, and Kamphaeng Phet Provincial Hospital leaders among others. The command team also toured local facilities, learned more about current research activities, held professional development sessions with military members, and host a town hall.
